Family Law

Nothing matters more than family.  Arguably, a close second is the representation you have in contested family matters.

Family law requires effective advocacy with an acute sensitivity toward a client’s emotional and financial needs.  Through experience, I believe the best approach in handling family law issues requires common sense, full disclosure and a focus on what is best for any child involved.  I also believe that you need to protect and establish your rights early, and in some cases, aggressively.

What ‘kind’ of family law do I practice?  In short: your kind.  For example, you may think you have a simple visitation issue only to discover you need to adjust your child support.  Be wary of following the advice of another person who had a case ‘just like yours.’  The law requires the analysis of several factors to determine the rights between the parties and only a thorough review of the facts of your situation can accurately gauge your strengths and weaknesses.

Contact our office for an appointment if you have questions concerning divorce, child custody, visitation or parenting time, alimony, child support, adoption or paternity.

Contested Family Law Cases

I accept contested family cases on a limited basis because each family law case requires specialized attention.   I recommend you seek the advice of more than one attorney if you anticipate a contested case because each attorney has their own personality, expertise and approach to these cases.

Uncontested Cases

If you and your spouse are in agreement with how  to separate assets and allocate rights, I can provide the paperwork by representing one of you at a significant discount compared to what you would pay for representation in a contested case.
